| Reverse description | Hammered silver flan displaying a two-line Persian verse legend enclosed within a beaded inner border, with the mint and date inscription in the lower field. The upper register bears the first hemistich of the royal verse: 'By command of the Almighty, Ahmad Shah strikes coins on silver and gold from the depths of the sea to the face of the moon.' The lower register records the mint name 'Zarb Darra' (struck at Dera) followed by the AH regnal date. The beaded border is clearly visible around the circumference, a hallmark of Durrani rupees struck at the Dera mint. |
