Obverse description Central field bears the Durrani dynastic couplet 'Mahi ta Bamah' inscribed in bold Naskh-style Arabic calligraphy within a raised oval cartouche. The legend is flanked by marginal inscriptions running along the inner border of the flan. The overall design is characteristic of Durrani-era hammered coinage, with irregular flan edges and deeply struck lettering typical of 18th-century Afghan minting practice.
