Reverse description Hammered flan displaying multiple horizontal registers of Nasta'liq Arabic calligraphy across the field, framed by raised linear borders. The field carries the Islamic profession of faith (kalima) and the name of the Caliph, typical of Mughal rupee coinage of this period. The regnal year in the Hijri calendar occupies a lower register, with additional pellet ornaments scattered throughout the field. The irregular flan edge, characteristic of hand-struck Mughal coinage, is visible around the circumference.
