Obverse description Hammered silver rupee with a rectangular cartouche in the central field containing the Persian legend in three horizontal lines, reading the regnal formula of Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II (Badshah Ghazi) with the Hijri date 1200 and regnal year 7. Floral or foliate ornaments occupy the surrounding field, characteristic of Indore Holkar coinage of the period. The inscription is rendered in a bold Naskh-style script typical of late Mughal provincial issues.
