正面描述 Central field dominated by the royal tughra of Amir Abdur Rahman Khan rendered in ornate Arabic calligraphy, with the regnal name and titles inscribed in multiple lines. The Hijri date is divided, with '17' appearing below the tughra and the remaining numerals above. The entire design is enclosed within a wreath of olive or laurel branches tied at the base, with a milled border surrounding the wreath.

附加信息

Abdur Rahman Khan spent much of his reign — from 1880 to his death in 1901 — consolidating power by brutally suppressing tribal revolts while simultaneously navigating British and Russian imperial pressure along Afghanistan's contested borders. His coinage was produced at the Kabul mint under conditions that were anything but standardized; die alignment, planchet preparation, and alloy consistency varied considerably across issues, which is why KM#819 carries multiple sub-varieties. The .500 fine silver content reflects deliberate debasement from earlier Afghan rupee standards, a fiscal adjustment made as Abdur Rahman's treasury strained under the cost of his internal military campaigns.
