| Obverse description | Central field dominated by an elaborate tughra-style Arabic calligraphic inscription reading 'حكومت پاكستان' (Government of Pakistan) in a highly ornate, interlaced script, flanked on either side by decorative laurel branches springing from a small floral device at the base. The date 1948 appears to the right of the calligraphic device. Two five-pointed stars flank the central design at mid-field. The legend 'GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN' arcs in bold Latin capitals along the upper periphery, all contained within a continuous beaded border. |
