| Opis rewersu | The reverse presents Persian-Nasta'liq inscriptions arranged in three horizontal registers divided by raised linear borders, consistent with Mughal-style rupee coinage as adapted by the Sikh Empire at Anandgarh mint. The central band prominently displays the Hijri date numerals, here corresponding to 1198 AH (1784 CE), rendered in bold relief. The upper and lower segments contain additional legends and decorative foliate motifs that fill the curved field. The flan, typical of hammered production, is slightly irregular and exhibits natural die stress lines. The engraving style reflects the late 18th-century provincial Punjabi coinage tradition, maintaining the Mughal epigraphic formula while attributing issue to Sikh authority. |
