| Obverse description | The obverse field is entirely occupied by bold Persian-script legends arranged in horizontal registers, incorporating the 'qadire bechun' (Incomparable Power) couplet invoking Ahmad Shah Durrani's authority. The inscription is struck in high relief in the Nastaliq calligraphic style characteristic of Durrani-era coinage, with the main legend reading across the central field and subsidiary text in the upper and lower registers. The flan is slightly irregular and hand-struck, with the legends filling virtually the entire coin surface in the tradition of Mughal-derived rupee coinage. |
