Obverse description	Plain salmon-toned note with a decorative interlaced border in dark ink running the full perimeter. The denomination "1 Weens rublis" is printed in large Gothic blackletter script at centre, flanked by numeral "1" on each side; above it, the issuing authority legend appears in a smaller Gothic typeface. The date "Rigā, 15. augustā 1919. g." is printed at centre below the denomination, followed by two manuscript signatures and a red serial number prefix with black numerals at lower left. An anti-counterfeiting warning appears at the foot of the note.

Reverse description	The reverse is printed on the same salmon-toned stock with an identical decorative interlaced border. The text is presented in two parallel columns in Gothic and Roman typefaces: the left column carries German text identifying this as a "Schuldschein der Stadt Riga" for "Ein Rubel", guaranteed by city assets; the right column repeats the same information in Russian Cyrillic. An anti-counterfeiting warning is printed in German at the top and in Russian at the bottom of the note.
Reverse lettering	Fälschungen unterliegen der gesetzlichen Strafe Schuldschein der Stadt Riga Ein Rubel auf 1 Lettländischen Rubel. Garantiert durch den Besitz der Stadt. Долговое обязательство города Риги Одинъ Рубль На 1 Латвійскій рубль. Обезпеченъ всѣмъ имуществомъ города. Поддѣлка преслѣдуется закономъ.
