Obverse description Central field dominated by the crowned royal cypher of Frederik V of Denmark, formed by an interlaced 'F' and '5' in bold script. The monogram is surmounted by a royal crown rendered in relief. The coin's irregular milled border is visible around the circumference, characteristic of Tranquebar coinage of this period. The design is boldly struck with the monogram occupying most of the field, consistent with Danish colonial coinage conventions of the mid-eighteenth century.
