Aanvullende informatie

Mir Castle, a late-15th-century fortified complex in the Grodno region, spent much of the 20th century in severe disrepair — partially ruined during both World Wars and used at various points as a ghetto during the Nazi occupation. Restoration work began in earnest only in the 1990s after Belarusian independence, and UNESCO added the site to its World Heritage List in 2000. This coin appeared fourteen years into that post-inscription period, part of a broader National Bank series promoting Belarusian heritage sites that ran across both base-metal and silver formats simultaneously.
