| Obverse description | At center, the double-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia is rendered in frosted relief against a mirror-polished field, its wings displayed and talons extended. The Cyrillic legend ОДИН РУБЛЬ (One Rouble) arcs along the upper periphery, while БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia) curves along the lower, both separated by a beaded inner border. The fineness designation Ag 900 appears in the lower left field and the weight 15,55 appears in the lower right field, with the date 2003 г. inscribed along the bottom between two raised dots.
