| Obverse description | Central device depicts the double-headed eagle of the Russian Federation, displayed with wings spread and talons extended, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The eagle is positioned within an inner beaded circle, flanked on either side by decorative interlaced ornamental devices. The Cyrillic legend ОДИН РУБЛЬ (ONE ROUBLE) and the date 1995г. are inscribed in the upper arc, while БАНК РОССИИ (BANK OF RUSSIA) curves along the lower arc, also in Cyrillic. Below the eagle, the fineness Ag 900 appears to the left and the troy weight 15,55 to the right, with the Saint Petersburg Mint privy mark (ЛМД) situated between them at the base of the eagle. |
