| Obverse description | At centre, the double-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia with wings spread, rendered in fine relief against a mirror-polished field. The denomination ОДИН РУБЛЬ (One Rouble) arcs along the upper periphery in Cyrillic, while БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia) curves along the lower portion of the eagle. The date 1998 Г. appears in the lower field, flanked by the fineness mark Ag 925 to the lower left and the mint mark ММД with the weight 7,78 to the lower right. A beaded inner circle frames the central design, with a plain raised rim enclosing the whole composition. |
