| Reverse description | The central field features a stylized artistic rendering of the Scorpio zodiac symbol, depicted as a decorative scorpion motif with the astrological glyph (♏) incorporated into the design. | Additional information |
Transnistria's zodiac rouble series was issued by the Transnistrian Republican Bank, the central bank of a breakaway state recognized by no UN member. The territory declared independence from Moldova in 1990 and has maintained a parallel economy ever since, issuing its own currency that functions domestically but holds no legal tender status anywhere internationally.
These coins circulated as genuine pocket change — not commemoratives in any conventional sense.
