The "Sinsha" (синша) is a freshwater fish native to Belarusian rivers — a regional name for the ide, Leuciscus idus — featured as part of Belarus's long-running wildlife conservation rouble series. The National Bank has used these circulation-quality copper-nickel pieces since the early 2000s to highlight species under ecological pressure in the country's river systems. Low face value and wide distribution meant most entered circulation immediately, making high-grade survivors harder to locate than mintage figures alone would suggest.
