| Reverse description | Central depiction of the Alexander II Memorial complex in the Moscow Kremlin, rendered in detailed relief, showing a tall pyramidal canopy supported by ornate columns and arches in the Russian Revival style, with a standing effigy of the emperor visible within the central arch and flanking colonnaded galleries terminating in smaller corner turrets. A double-headed Imperial eagle appears above the monument at the top of the field. The denomination РУБЛЬ. is inscribed in large Cyrillic letters below the monument, with ВЪ КРЕМЛѢ МОСКОВСКОМЪ curved along the lower border. A two-part commemorative legend arcs around the upper field, recording that Emperor Alexander III laid the foundation in 1893 and Emperor Nicholas II inaugurated the monument in 1898. A beaded border frames the entire design. |
