Aanvullende informatie

The Minsk Tractor Works — known by its Russian acronym MTZ — was established in 1946 as part of the Soviet postwar industrial reconstruction drive, and by the 1970s had become one of the largest tractor manufacturers in the world. Belarus inherited the plant at independence in 1991, and it remains state-controlled, still exporting the "Belarus" branded tractors to dozens of countries. The National Bank has issued a running series of circulation commemoratives honoring major Belarusian industrial enterprises, of which this is one.
