Additional information

Belarus issued a substantial series of wildlife-themed copper-nickel roubles in the 2000s and early 2010s, largely aimed at the collector market rather than circulation. The common kestrel holds particular relevance in the region — it remains one of the most widely distributed falcons across the Eurasian landmass, and Belarusian conservation policy of the period drew attention to raptor populations under pressure from agricultural intensification.

KM#336 is part of a numbered run that grew large enough to dilute secondary-market premiums considerably.
