| 正面描述 | The state coat of arms of Transnistria occupies the central field, depicting a Soviet-style emblem composed of sheaves of wheat and corn flanking a hammer and sickle, surmounted by a five-pointed star, with ribbons inscribed 'ПМР' on either side and 'РМН' at the base. The circular legend 'ПРИДНЕСТРОВСКИЙ РЕСПУБЛИКАНСКИЙ БАНК' arcs around the upper periphery in Cyrillic characters. The denomination '1 РУБЛЬ' is inscribed in bold Cyrillic lettering in the lower field, with the date '2017' below, flanked by two raised bullet points. |

Dubossary holds a specific place in Transnistrian history: it was the site of some of the earliest and most violent clashes of the 1992 war with Moldova, with fighting around the town beginning in late 1991. The city's coat of arms issue is part of a broader Transnistrian series celebrating localities within the unrecognized republic — a state that has issued its own currency, maintained its own central bank, and operated independently since 1990 without recognition from any UN member state. These coins circulate domestically but hold no standing in international exchange.
