Obverse description The state coat of arms of the Republic of Belarus occupies the central field, depicting a sun rising over a globe flanked by wheat sheaves bound with a ribbon, with a clover blossom at left and flax at right, surmounted by a five-pointed star; the shield bears an inscription on a scroll reading РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ. The date 1999 appears in the lower field beneath the arms. A decorative chain-link border frames the inner field. The circular legend РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ arcs along the upper rim, while the denomination АДЗIН РУБЕЛЬ is inscribed along the lower rim, each separated by raised bullet stops.

Reverse description A detailed depiction of the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem occupies the lower portion of the field, rendered in fine relief with stone walls, arched entrances, crosses, and a domed chapel visible at upper right. Above the architectural scene, the Star of Bethlehem is portrayed with an eight-pointed star above and radiating beams of light descending toward the church below, evoking the biblical nativity narrative. A decorative patterned forecourt is depicted at the base of the composition. The curved legend 2000 ГОД НАРАДЖЭННЮ ХРЫСТОВУ arcs along the upper rim in stylised Cyrillic lettering, while the name ВIФЛЕЕМ (Bethlehem) appears along the lower rim flanked by bullet stops.
