| 背面描述 | Central field displays a stylised map of Manchuria showing the route of the Chinese Eastern Railway, with Harbin (Харбин) marked as a key junction node on the railway line. The denomination numeral 1 appears prominently in the centre, flanked by the founding year 1903 to the left and the commemorative year 2013 to the right, with РУБЛЬ (rouble) inscribed below. The circular legend 110 ЛЕТ КИТАЙСКО-ВОСТОЧНОЙ ЖЕЛЕЗНОЙ ДОРОГЕ (110 Years of the Chinese Eastern Railway) runs along both the upper and lower portions of the rim in Cyrillic script. The field is mirror-polished, bordered by a beaded inner circle. |

The Chinese Eastern Railway was built between 1897 and 1903 under a concession extracted from the Qing government following the First Sino-Japanese War, and Harbin grew from a near-empty riverbank settlement into a city of over 100,000 people almost entirely because of it. Russian engineers, administrators, and their families formed the core of Harbin's early population, creating an enclave that outlasted the Romanovs, survived the Soviet absorption of the railway in 1924, and persisted as a distinct cultural community well into the 1930s.
This rouble belongs to a commemorative series issued by the Bank of Russia honoring historic Russian railway stations.
