| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse features a naturalistically rendered Central Asian cobra (Naja oxiana) in high relief, depicted in a raised and hooded defensive posture with its body coiled across the lower field. A sparse, leafless desert shrub is shown to the left of the serpent, and scattered rocks appear at the lower centre and right, evoking the arid habitat of the species. The composition occupies the majority of the field against a deeply mirrored proof background. The Cyrillic inscription СРЕДНЕАЗИАТСКАЯ arcs along the lower periphery and КОБРА descends vertically along the right side of the coin. The overall design is characteristic of the Russian Federation's Red Book endangered wildlife commemorative series. |
