The legend is enclosed within a wreath of laurel and oak tied at the base, all set in low relief within the recessed central area. The broad, flat rim surrounding the medallion displays the same heavily textured, pitted surface as the obverse, consistent with the experimental struck copper planchet of this celebrated Sestroretsk pattern rouble. |
