| Obverse description | Orange-buff guilloche underprint with a central vignette of the Soviet State Coat of Arms — hammer and sickle over a globe encircled by wheat sheaves — set within an ornate frame of scrollwork and laurel branches. The title inscription ГОСУДАРСТВЕННЫЙ КАЗНАЧЕЙСКИЙ БИЛЕТ runs across the top, the denomination ОДИН РУБЛЬ in large Cyrillic script occupies the centre, with numeral "1" counters at lower left and right, and the year 1947 at bottom centre. Below the main vignette, the denomination is repeated in the fifteen official languages of the Soviet republics in small serial text panels. |
