| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field features the Coat of Arms of Qatar, depicting a traditional dhow sailing vessel with palm trees enclosed within a circular emblem, surmounted by the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 official tournament logo at the top. The arms are surrounded by an ornate geometric lattice border in the Islamic arabesque style, framing the entire design. The legend 'STATE OF QATAR' appears in Latin script below the arms, with the Arabic equivalent above. The denomination '1 RIYAL' and the date '2022' are inscribed along the lower rim. |

Qatar issued this coin to commemorate the 2022 FIFA World Cup, making it one of the few circulating commemorative riyals struck specifically for that tournament. The "Slogan" designation refers to the official World Cup motto incorporated into the design — Qatar was the first Middle Eastern nation to host the tournament, a selection announced in 2010 that immediately generated controversy over the bidding process and the decision to move the competition to November–December to avoid summer heat exceeding 40°C.
KM#103 is one of several distinct World Cup issues from the Qatar Central Bank that year, each differentiated by reverse motif.
