| 裏面の説明 | Central field depicts a desert fort rendered in relief, with the Coat of Arms of Fujairah positioned below the fort. The Coat of Arms is flanked by two flags, each bearing the inscription 'Al Fujairah' in Arabic — appearing normally on the left flag and in mirror image on the right flag. A partial Arabic legend identifying Fujairah appears in the field. |

Fujairah was the last of the Trucial States to be formally recognized by Britain, receiving official acknowledgment only in 1952 despite having existed as a distinct polity for generations. The 1969–1970 coinage was issued during the brief window between that recognition and the formation of the UAE in 1971, making this among the final sovereign issues before Fujairah ceased to exist as an independent entity. Most of these pieces were sold directly to collectors and never circulated — the emirate's economy ran almost entirely on British-administered trade arrangements and later oil revenues, leaving little practical need for local coinage.
