The surrounding outer band carries the royal epithet 'Al-Mutawakkil 'ala Allah' (He who relies on God), the phrase 'Rabb al-'Alamin' (Lord of the Worlds), and the mint name 'San'a' at the base, all rendered in deeply struck, high-relief calligraphy against a flat field. |
