| Obverse description | The entire field is occupied by bold Arabic calligraphic inscriptions arranged in multiple registers within a circular border of fine reeding. At the top of the inner field, the phrase 'Allah Nasr' (Victory of God) is inscribed, followed by the Hijri date (1371 or 1372) in Eastern Arabic numerals within a recessed oval cartouche. Below, the name and titles of Imam Ahmad ibn Yahya Hamid al-Din are rendered in large, deeply struck Naskh script. The lowermost register bears the honorific 'Amir al-Mu'minin' (Commander of the Faithful), with the entire design framed by a continuous outer legend band. |
