| Additional information |
Issued to mark the 200th anniversary of the Royal Malaysia Police, this 2007 ringgit commemorates a force whose origins trace to the Straits Settlements police established by the British in 1807. The RMP is one of the few police organizations in Southeast Asia with an unbroken institutional lineage running from colonial administration through independence.
Yang di-Pertuan Agong XIII was Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, who ascended to the throne in December 2006 — making this among the earliest commemorative issues of his reign.
