| Obverse description | Central to the obverse is a finely detailed depiction of the Hibiscus rosa-sinensis (bunga raya), the national flower of Malaysia, rendered in high relief with naturalistic petals and foliage. Beneath the flower, the large numeral '1' serves as the primary denomination indicator, flanked on either side by the split date '19' and '95'.
