Obverse description	Intaglio portrait of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah I in traditional regalia occupies the right portion of the note, set against a multicolour guilloche underprint with ornate floral and geometric motifs in the border. The denomination "SATU RINGGIT" appears in bold letterpress at centre, flanked by serial numbers at left and lower right, with the Sultan's facsimile signature above the title "SULTAN" at mid-field.
