正面描述 Portrait of Yang di-Pertuan Agong I, Tuanku Abdul Rahman, at right, rendered in intaglio against an intricate guilloche underprint. A latent image numeral appears at lower left within a distinct guilloche rosette, differentiating this issue from earlier series. Bank name and legal tender inscription run across the note in both Malay and English.

备注

Pick 13 falls within the second series of Malaysian ringgit notes, introduced after the 1975 severance of interchangeability with the Brunei and Singapore dollars — a currency arrangement that had persisted since the Malaya and British Borneo dollar era. Once that agreement collapsed, Bank Negara moved quickly to establish distinctly Malaysian issues, and this series reflects that shift.

Bradbury Wilkinson's New Malden facility printed for dozens of central banks during this period; their intaglio work on the Malaysian series is competent but unremarkable by the firm's standards. The company was absorbed by De La Rue in 1990.
