| 表面の説明 | The Swedish State coat of arms — a crowned shield supported by two lions — is positioned at the top centre. The bank name "Sveriges Riksbank" appears in ornate lettering below the arms, above the central text block stating the redemption obligation. Large guilloche numerals and oval medallions flank the denomination text on both sides, with an intricate engraved border running the full perimeter. The series letter "Litt. A" appears at upper left, with the serial number at upper right, and two manuscript signatures with the printed date below the main text. |

Sveriges Riksbank introduced the Riksdaler Riksmynt as a transitional denomination bridging the old Riksdaler specie system and Sweden's eventual adoption of the Scandinavian Monetary Union in 1873, which replaced the entire Riksdaler series with the Krona. Notes issued in the final years of this range — 1872 and 1873 — had an extremely short practical lifespan before the new currency rendered them obsolete for everyday exchange.
Pick A139 is among the scarcer survivors of the transitional series; redemption and destruction of superseded Riksdaler notes was systematic and thorough once the Krona took effect January 1, 1873.
