背面描述 The full Swedish royal coat of arms displayed as a large crowned shield at center, supported on either side by two rampant lions facing inward as heraldic supporters, all set upon an elaborate baroque cartouche base. The crowned shield bears the quartered arms of Sweden incorporating the three crowns and the Vasa sheaf, with additional heraldic quarters representing Frederick's dynastic claims. The mint master's initials GZ appear flanking the date in the lower exergue area, divided by decorative scrollwork. The Swedish motto legend arches across the upper field in Gothic-style script, and fine milled denticles border the entire design.

附加信息

Frederick I's third portrait riksdaler was produced during a period when Swedish monetary policy was effectively controlled by the Riksdag rather than the crown — Frederick was constitutionally neutered after the 1718 death of Charles XII ended absolutism, and the coin-issuing authority rested with the Estates. The portrait change itself likely reflects a new engraver's commission rather than any royal initiative.

The three-year window of this variety coincides with early Age of Liberty factional maneuvering between the Caps and Hats, a political rivalry that would dominate Sweden for decades.
