Obverse description Draped bust of King Karl XIV Johan facing right, wearing a mantle fastened at the shoulder with a circular brooch, rendered in a neoclassical style with finely detailed curly hair. The effigy occupies the full height of the field, with the truncation resting just above the lower legend. A circular Latin legend runs along the rim from the lower left, interrupted at the base by the jubilee date inscription. The coin is bordered by a prominent inner beaded rim.
