| Obverse description | Laureate and armored bust of a knight facing right, with long flowing hair, holding an upright sword over the left shoulder and a fleur-de-lis scepter in the right hand; the left arm bears a quartered heraldic shield displaying the arms of Utrecht. The figure is rendered in high relief with finely engraved pauldrons and gorget in the Baroque style characteristic of engraver Dirck Bosch.
