| Beschrijving keerzijde | The crowned royal shield of Scotland, bearing the rampant lion, is centrally placed at the intersection of a cross pattée that divides the field into four quarters. The crown surmounting the shield is rendered with prominent fleurs-de-lis and arches in the Gothic manner typical of James III's coinage. An inner beaded circle encloses the central device, with the Latin legend in uncial characters occupying the outer annulus between two beaded borders. Small decorative stops punctuate the legend. |
