| Obverse description | At centre, the national coat of arms of Oman — comprising two crossed khanjar daggers overlaid on two crossed swords — rendered in raised relief within a beaded inner circle. The denomination ONE RIAL appears to the left in Latin script and ريال واحد to the right in Arabic script, flanking the arms horizontally. The legend SULTANATE OF OMAN curves along the lower portion of the inner circle, while the Arabic inscription of the issuing authority curves along the upper portion. The outer legend CENTRAL BANK OF OMAN runs along the lower rim, with additional Arabic text completing the circular border legend near the top. A fine beaded border frames the entire design. |
