Beschrijving voorzijde The national emblem of Oman — comprising a traditional khanjar dagger overlaid upon two crossed swords — is prominently displayed in the centre of the field. An inner beaded border frames two concentric circular legends: the upper arc bears the Arabic inscription of the Central Bank of Oman and the Sultanate of Oman, while the denomination ONE RIAL appears to the left and its Arabic equivalent ريال واحد to the right at centre. The date 2025 appears below the emblem, with the legend SULTANATE OF OMAN and CENTRAL BANK OF OMAN running along the lower outer arc in Latin script.

Aanvullende informatie

Oman Vision 2040 is the sultanate's long-range diversification plan, formally adopted in 2021 under Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, who acceded following the death of Sultan Qaboos in January 2020 after a 50-year reign. The policy framework is a direct acknowledgment that oil revenue — which still accounts for the overwhelming majority of government income — cannot sustain the economy indefinitely as reserves deplete and global demand shifts.

Collector silver issues tied to national development plans are a well-worn genre, but Oman's is grounded in genuine fiscal urgency rather than ceremony.
