Obverse description The field bears a multi-line Persian legend in flowing Nasta'liq script, divided by a horizontal line into two registers. The upper register contains the royal epithet referencing the Qajar dynasty, while the lower register carries the principal royal titulature. The inscription reads in full: 'The Sultan son of the Sultan, Fateh Ali Shah Qajar.' The die-struck legend fills the flan in the characteristic style of early Qajar hammered coinage, with no figural imagery, consistent with Islamic numismatic tradition.
Obverse script Arabic
Obverse lettering السلطان بن السُلطان فتح علي شاه قاجار
(Translation: The sultan son of the sultan Fateh Ali Shah Qajar.)
