| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse displays a multi-line Persian inscription in bold nastaliq calligraphy, arranged across the field in registers divided by ruled lines. The upper portion contains a decorative arch or cartouche framing the pious phrase 'العزة لله' (Glory belongs to God), while the lower registers bear the mint formula 'ضرب دارالسلطنه قزوین' (Struck at the Seat of the Sultanate, Qazvin). The lettering is struck in high relief with the characteristic sweeping strokes and overlapping letterforms typical of hammered Qajar silver. The coin exhibits the irregular flan shape and variable strike pressure inherent to early nineteenth-century Iranian hand-struck coinage. The overall design is purely epigraphic, reflecting the Islamic numismatic tradition of the Qajar court. |
