| Reverse description | Central field bearing a multi-line Nasta'liq calligraphic mint and date legend arranged in sweeping curved bands, reading 'Zarb Dar al-Mu'minin Astarabad 1233,' denoting the mint city of Astarabad and the AH year of striking. The inscription is enclosed within a decorative wreath of stylized floral scrollwork and arabesque motifs rendered in low relief, with a beaded border circumscribing the entire design. Pellet ornaments are scattered throughout the field, consistent with Qajar minting conventions. The numeral 1233 (AH) is visible at the lower portion of the field, corresponding to 1818 AD. |
