Obverse description The obverse field is filled with a two-line Persian royal legend in elegant Nasta'liq calligraphy, rendered in high relief against a finely decorated background of scrolling floral arabesques and grape cluster ornaments. The inscription, reading 'Al-Sultan ibn al-Sultan Fath Ali Shah Qajar,' proclaims the dynastic titulature of the Qajar monarch. The legend is divided horizontally across the field, with the upper line arching slightly and the lower line sweeping broadly in characteristic Qajar coin style. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border running along the coin's periphery, typical of hammered Qajar silver coinage of this period.
