The inscription, reading 'Al-Sultan ibn al-Sultan Fath Ali Shah Qajar,' proclaims the dynastic titulature of the Qajar monarch. The legend is divided horizontally across the field, with the upper line arching slightly and the lower line sweeping broadly in characteristic Qajar coin style. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border running along the coin's periphery, typical of hammered Qajar silver coinage of this period. |
