| Reverse description | The reverse presents the mint and date legend within a rectangular cartouche framed by an ogival or pointed-arch surround, a device typical of Safavid and early Qajar hammered silver coinage. The Arabic-script Nastaliq inscription fills the cartouche in bold, sweeping strokes, with the mint name and regnal/hijri date prominently rendered. The field outside the cartouche is adorned with floral scrollwork and pellet clusters, enhancing the decorative quality of the design. The inscription reads 'ضرب دارالسلطنه تبریز ۱۲۰۵,' indicating the coin was struck at the royal seat of Tabriz in AH 1205 (1791 CE). The overall execution reflects the hammered coinage tradition of northwestern Iran under the authority of Ahmad Khan Donboli. |
