Obverse description Central field occupied by a bold, multi-line Arabic legend naming the Ottoman Sultan Abd al-Majid Khan, rendered in thick, deeply struck characters. The inscription is framed within an ornamental wreath of stylized palm fronds tied at the base with a ribbon bow, lending the design a formal, heraldic quality. The entire composition is enclosed by a finely beaded outer border running the full circumference of the coin. No figurative effigy appears; the design is entirely epigraphic in the Ottoman-Tunisian tradition.
