Obverse description The entire field is occupied by a four-line Arabic calligraphic legend in bold Thuluth script, giving the full imperial titulature of Sultan Abdulmecid I. The inscription reads across horizontal registers separated by ruled lines, with decorative serifs and flourishes characteristic of Ottoman tughra-style lettering. The outer rim bears a fine milled border of oblique dashes encircling the legend. No figurative imagery is present, consistent with Ottoman Islamic numismatic convention.
