Obverse description The obverse features the national emblem of the Sultanate of Oman at centre, comprising two crossed khanjar daggers overlaid on a pair of crossed swords, rendered in fine relief against a polished field. The Arabic legend 'البنك المركزي العُماني' (Central Bank of Oman) arcs along the upper portion of the coin, while 'سلطنة عُمان' (Sultanate of Oman) appears on a second inner arc below. The denomination is displayed bilaterally flanking the emblem: 'ONE RIAL' to the left in Latin script and 'ريال واحد' to the right in Arabic script. The lower legend reads 'SULTANATE OF OMAN' and 'CENTRAL BANK OF OMAN' in Latin characters along the outer border. The entire design is framed by a beaded inner border.
