Obverse description Central field displays the national emblem of Oman — two crossed khanjar daggers overlaid with a sword and belt, rendered in fine relief against a polished field. The Arabic legend «البنك المركزي العُماني» and «سلطنة عمان» arcs across the upper portion of the inner circle, while the denomination appears flanking the emblem in both scripts: «ريال واحد» to the right and «ONE RIAL» to the left. The lower inner field bears the legend «SULTANATE OF OMAN» in incuse Latin letters. The outer border carries the legend «CENTRAL BANK OF OMAN» along the lower arc, framed by a beaded inner ring and a reeded outer edge.
